I while back I read a couple history books which read like an action adventure novel. Though the author worked to weave together many story lines, I completed the books and found myself profoundly underwhelmed with how much information I had retained. I had to put the information which had captured me into one place. Turn 1,000 pages of history into one. Once I had the foundation laid, everything I read offered new questions, new adventures and new strands of history I had to bring into the fold. This Timeline, for lack of a better name, is always a work in progress.
